EU Energy Efficiency Requirements Introduction

The EU's energy efficiency regulations for air-conditioning products include two parts: energy efficiency label design and eco-design requirements:

For air-conditioning products, (EU) No.626 specifies energy efficiency labelling requirements and (EU) No.206 specifies eco-design requirements

The Energy Efficiency Labeling Regulation mainly specifies the energy efficiency class and the style of the energy efficiency label, while the Ecodesign Directive contains the minimum requirements for indicators such as energy efficiency and noise.

The testing standards for EU air-conditioning products need to be tested in accordance with EN 14511 and EN 14825. For the cooling mode, the product will be tested at four load points (100%, 74%, 47%, 21%); for the heating mode, the climate type and other conditions need to be selected according to the needs, and then the test is carried out according to the corresponding working conditions , For example, if you choose a type A (average) climate, you need to be at 88%, 54%, 35%, 15% of the four load points, as well as the lowest temperature TOL that the machine can run and the temperature Tbiv when the machine is running at maximum load. The load corresponding to the two temperature points is tested.
