◉ Control Standards
GB 30981-2021 "Limits of Hazardous Substances in Industrial Protective Coatings", which specifies the terms and definitions, product classification, requirements, test methods, inspection rules, packaging marks, implementation of standards, etc.
◉ Scope of Application
Not limited to construction industry, applicable to various industrial fields. It is suitable for all kinds of industrial protective coatings (except marine coatings) for the protection of metal, concrete, plastic and other surfaces except putty, but not suitable for aerospace coatings, nuclear power coatings, military equipment and facilities coatings.
◉ Classification of Industrial Protective Coatings
Industrial protective coatings are divided into water-based coatings, solvent-based coatings, solvent-free coatings, radiation-curing coatings, and powder coatings.
• Water-based coatings are classified into mechanical equipment coatings, building and structure protective coatings (except building wall coatings), container coatings, packaging coatings, profile coatings (including metal substrate curtain wall panel coatings), and electrical and electronic coatings;
• Solvent-based coatings are classified into mechanical equipment coatings, protective coatings for buildings and structures, container coatings, pre-coated coil coatings, packaging coatings, profile coatings (including metal substrate curtain wall panel coatings), and electrical and electronic coatings;
• Radiation-curable coatings are divided into water-based and non-water-based.
◉ Test Content
VOC content, benzene content, sum content of toluene and xylene, sum content of halogenated hydrocarbons, sum content of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (limited to naphthalene and anthracene), content of methanol, sum content of ethylene glycol and ether grease, content of heavy metals.
