◉ Certification Introduction
The G-Mark (Gulf Conformity Mark) is an authoritative certification that products comply with the strict quality and safety standards of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), and is a mandatory requirement. To sell specific products in the markets of GSO member countries, a valid G-Mark certificate must be held.
G-Mark is the symbol of GCC certification. All products that have obtained GCC certification are required to print the G-Mark logo on their products or packaging.
GCC stands for Gulf Cooperation Council, with its full English name being Gulf Cooperation Council. The member states of GSO include the United Arab Emirates, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the Sultanate of Oman, the State of Qatar, the State of Kuwait, the Kingdom of Bahrain, and the Republic of Yemen. In 2001, GCC voted to establish the GSO organization, also known as the Gulf Standardization Organization. The main function of GSO is to establish product standards and market access systems in the Gulf region.
GCC certification is also one of the conditions for applying for other certifications. For example, when applying for Saudi SABER certification for toys and low-voltage electrical appliances, GCC certification must be provided, otherwise SABER certification cannot be completed.
Certification validity period: 3 years (re application required upon expiration).

◉ Authentication mode
(1) Non mandatory products: Apply for customs clearance certification according to import customs clearance requirements
(2) Mandatory product: GCC type certification certificate issued after product testing
Obtaining G-Mark certification requires a rigorous testing and inspection process to confirm that the product meets standard requirements, including electrical safety, mechanical safety, and environmental performance.
◉ Scope of Electrical Product Certification
Since June 1, 2015, the Gulf Technical Specification for low-voltage electrical equipment and supplies has been implemented and fully enforced from July 1, 2016. The electrical standard specification document for G Mark is the "Technical Specification for Low Voltage Electrical Equipment and Appliances in Gulf Countries" published by GSO, document number BD-142004-01: Chapter 1, Article 8 "Electrical Equipment" specifies the scope of electrical products that require G Mark certification:
Category 1 (Product List 1): All electronic and electrical equipment, as well as devices containing electronic or electrical components, with an applied voltage of AC 50-1000V and DC 75-1500V, except for the 13 specific electrical products listed in List 2.

(4) Electric meter
(5) Power grid controller
(6) Radio interference products
(7) Professional products for ships, airplanes, and trains that meet international safety standards

Product List 1: Products undergo testing, with the manufacturer signing a self declaration of conformity DOC
Product List 2: For product testing, it is necessary to obtain a GCC type certification certificate issued by a recognized organization designated by GSO
