◉ Certification Introduction
RoHS is a mandatory standard formulated by EU legislation, its full name is "Restriction of Hazardous Substances Directive on the Restriction of the Use of Certain Hazardous Substances in Electrical and Electronic Equipment". The standard has been officially implemented since July 1, 2006, mainly used to regulate the material and process standards of electrical and electronic products, making it more conducive to human health and environmental protection.
The RoHS Directive covers a wide range of products, covering almost all electronic, electrical, medical, communications, toys, security information and other products, including not only the whole machine, but also the parts, raw materials and packaging used in the production of the whole machine. related to the entire production chain.
◉ RoHS Directive Development History
RoHS Directive (2002/95/EC): promulgated on February 13, 2003 and implemented on July 1, 2006, lead, mercury, hexavalent chromium, PBB in the homogeneous materials of eight categories of electrical and electronic equipment put on the EU market , PBDE content does not exceed 0.1%, cadmium content does not exceed 0.01%, except for exemptions.
ROHS 2.0 Directive (2011/65/EU): supersedes 2002/95/EC, effective July 21, 2011. The scope of controlled products has been expanded from 8 categories to the following 11 categories. So far, the EU RoHS Directive has officially entered the era of 2.0 (commonly known as RoHS 2.0).
RoHS2.0 Amendment Directive (2015/863/EU): promulgated on June 4, 2015, and implemented on July 22, 2019, adding controlled substances DIBP, BBP, DBP, DEHP (referred to as phthalate 4P), the control limit is The values are all 0.1%. Note: Homogeneous materials refer to materials that cannot be mechanically divided into different substances, such as a single plastic, metal, glass, etc.

◉ Applicable Products
EU RoHS 2.0 applies to all types of electrical and electronic products, covering electrical and electronic products and their raw materials that require current and electromagnetic fields to achieve at least one design function, mainly including:
(1) Large household appliances;
(2) Small household appliances;
(3) IT and communication equipment;
(4) Consumer equipment;
(5) lighting equipment;
(6) Electronic and electrical tools (except large fixed industrial tools);
(7) Toys, leisure and sports equipment;
(8) Medical devices;
(9) Monitoring and control equipment;
(10) vending machines;
(11) Other electrical and electronic equipment.
◉ Applicable Area
UK and EU member states: France, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, Denmark, Ireland, Greece, Spain, Portugal, Austria, Sweden, Finland, Cyprus, Hungary, Czech Republic, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Malta, Poland, Slovakia, Slovenia, Bulgaria, Romania
In addition to the European Union, other countries and regions around the world, such as China, California, Singapore, India, the United Arab Emirates, Turkey, etc., have also introduced RoHS control requirements, making RoHS the most basic entry threshold for electrical and electronic products to enter the global market.
◉ Certification Program
(1) Fill in the RoHS test application form and download it from the RoHS certification center website.
(2) Quotation and settlement, after submitting the application, the customer sends samples (or express delivery) to the testing agency, and the testing agency divides the samples reasonably according to the requirements, and feeds back the number of product splits and testing costs to the customer. After the customer agrees, the The test fee is credited to the designated account.
(3) After the payment is received, the test will be arranged and the test will be completed.
(4) Publish the report, and the delivery method can be by express, fax, e-mail or the person who sent the inspection to collect it in person.
◉ Compliance Services
The EU RoHS remains a key enforcement focus, with a large number of electronic and electrical products being punished to varying degrees every year for violating the RoHS directive. The revision of the EU RoHS directive will have a significant impact on the electronics and electrical industry. It is recommended that relevant companies pay close attention to and continuously track the revision dynamics of the EU RoHS directive, keep up with the development pace of the RoHS directive, conduct timely supply chain investigation and control, so as to quickly comply with regulatory requirements and seize market opportunities when the regulations are updated.
