◉ Certification Introduction
ISC certification is the safety compliance standard assessment certification under the director of the Ministry of Industry and Handicraft (Institute of Standards of Cambodia, Ministry of Industry, and Handicraft). This certification program was implemented in October 2004, mainly for mandatory and non-mandatory two types of standards. The scope of regulated products includes chemical substances, electronic appliances and food.
In 2006, the Ministry of Industry and Energy and the Ministry of Commerce of Cambodia jointly issued mandatory certification requirements for chemicals, food and electrical and electronic products. When the above products are imported into Cambodia, the product safety certification must be selected, registered with the Cambodian Industrial Standards Department, and the customs will release the goods after obtaining the confirmation letter for the issuance of imported products. The ISC certification certificate is usually valid for three years, and the certificate needs to be renewed every three years. The renewal application is submitted 30 days before the certificate expires.
