◉ Certification Method
The FCC has three certification modes for different products, namely: Verification Declaration of Conformity (DoC) and Certification. Different certification modes require testing laboratories to obtain FCC accreditation, and have different application, testing and declaration requirements.
1. Verification: that is, self-verification, manufacturers or importers ensure that their products have undergone the necessary tests to confirm that the products meet relevant technical standards and retain test reports, testing laboratories FCC LISTEE, and all accredited sites are published in the official online. The FCC has the right to require manufacturers to submit equipment samples or product testing data. Equipment suitable for self-certification includes commercial computers, TV and FM receivers, and FCC Rule Part 18 non-consumer industrial, scientific, and medical equipment.
2. Declaration of Conformity (DoC): The Declaration of Conformity. The party responsible for the equipment (usually the manufacturer or importer) tests the product at the qualified testing agency designated by the FCC to ensure that the equipment complies with the relevant technical standards and retains the test report , the issuing agency must be authorized by NVLAP/A2LA. The FCC has the right to require the responsible party to submit equipment samples or product test data. Devices for which the Declaration of Conformity applies include home computers and peripherals, civil broadcast receivers, super-regenerative receivers, other receivers of FCC Rule Part 15, television interface equipment, cable system termination equipment, and Part 18 mass consumer use of industrial, scientific and medical equipment.
3. Certification: ID certification, certification is the process of FCC signing equipment approval based on application and test data. The FCC reviews the samples (or photos) and test data submitted by the applicant, and authorizes the device with an FCC ID number if it meets the requirements of the FCC rules. Applicable devices for certification include low-power transmitters such as cordless phones, remote controls for automatic doors, radio-controlled toys, and security alarm systems, Part 15 devices that intentionally emit radio frequency energy, Part 18, mass consumer use of industrial, Scientific research and medical equipment, automatic frequency conversion receivers and super-regenerative receivers, television interface equipment, and home computers and their peripherals. 1. Declaration of Conformity: The party responsible for the product (manufacturer or importer) will test the product at the qualified testing agency designated by F CC and make a test report.
