Notification of the EU fast warning system for food contact materials in February 2023
In February 2023, the EU Food and Feed Rapid Early Warning System (RASFF) reported a total of 11 cases of unqualified food contact materials. The main reasons for the violation were that the migration of primary aromatic amines exceeded the standard in 4 cases, the migration of formaldehyde exceeded the standard in 2 cases, the migration of heavy metals exceeded the standard in 2 cases, the use of unauthorized substances in 2 cases, and the migration of plasticizers exceeded the standard in 1 case.
