With the rapid development of a new generation of information technology, the original two standards also face new problems in their use:

■ On the one hand, electronic products such as smartphones, notebook computers, and smart TVs are highly functionally integrated, and often have audio and video and information communication functions at the same time. Two standards are used to evaluate the safety of their production, testing and certification, and market supervision. cause difficulty;

■ On the other hand, the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) has merged the two international standards of audio and video product safety and information technology product safety according to technological development trends. The European Union, the United States, Japan, South Korea and other countries and regions are actively carrying out the transformation of new international standards. , and use it as the basis for testing certification and market access。

If my country does not integrate and revise as soon as possible to achieve international standards, it will have an adverse impact on the export of my country's electronic products. Therefore, the State Administration for Market Regulation (Standards Committee), together with the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and other departments, organized the integration and revision of the standard, and formulated and released the new version of the mandatory national standard GB 4943.1.

 

◉ Differences Between Old and New Standards

The new version of the national standard GB 4943 will combine the scope of application of the previous version of GB 4943.1-2011 and GB 8898-2011, covering three categories of equipment: audio and video equipment, information technology equipment, and communication technology equipment. ◉ Differences from International Standards

The new version of the national standard GB 4943 adopts the third edition of the international standard IEC 62368-1:2018. At the same time, based on the actual situation of my country's geographical environment, climatic conditions and power supply system, the technical differences in my country are introduced on the basis of in-depth research and experimental verification. , mainly including the following points.

■ First, based on the particularity of the power supply and distribution conditions of buildings in my country, electronic products cannot completely rely on the protection devices in building facilities to provide protection. The new version of the national standard GB 4943 requires stricter safety protection measures, requiring electronic products themselves. Corresponding overcurrent protection device and protective ground and signal ground need to take isolation measures.

■ Second, based on the particularity of my country's geographical conditions, technical differences in safety requirements have been added. For example, international standards are mainly formulated for areas below 2000m above sea level, while nearly one-third of my country's land area is above 2000m above sea level, and a large number of people live there.
