Starting from August, these six new ecological environment monitoring standards have been implemented

According to public information, according to Announcement No. 8, 2023 of the Ministry of Ecology and Environment of the Ministry of Ecology and Environment, six ecological environmental monitoring standards, such as Sampling by Determination Tank of 65 Volatile Organic Compounds in Ambient Air/Gas Chromatography Mass Spectrometry (HJ 759-2023), have been implemented since August 1, 2023.

1. Determination of Toxaphene in soil and sediment Gas chromatography triple quadrupole mass spectrometry (HJ 1290-2023)

This standard is formulated to implement the Environmental Protection Law of the China and the Law of the China on the Prevention and Control of Soil Pollution, prevent and control ecological environmental pollution, improve the quality of ecological environment, and standardize the determination method of toxaphene in soil and sediment. This standard specifies the gas chromatography triple quadrupole mass spectrometry method for the determination of three indicator Toxaphene analogs P26, P50 and P62 in soil and sediment. Appendix A and Appendix B of this standard are informative annexes. This standard is issued for the first time.

 

2. Determination of 15 ketone and 6 ether compounds in soil and sediment by headspace/gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (HJ 1289-2023)

This standard is formulated to implement the Environmental Protection Law of the China and the Law of the China on the Prevention and Control of Soil Pollution, prevent and control ecological environmental pollution, improve the quality of ecological environment, and standardize the determination methods of 15 ketones and 6 ethers in soil and sediment. This standard specifies the headspace/gas chromatography-mass spectrometry method for the determination of 15 ketones and 6 ether compounds in soil and sediment. Appendix A of this standard is normative, while Appendix B and Appendix C are informative. This standard is issued for the first time.

 

3. Water quality - Determination of acrylic acid - Ion chromatography method (HJ 1288-2023)

This standard is formulated to implement the Environmental Protection Law of the China and the Law of the China on the Prevention and Control of Water Pollution, prevent and control ecological environmental pollution, improve ecological environmental quality, and standardize the determination method of acrylic acid in water. This standard specifies the ion chromatography method for the determination of acrylic acid in surface water, groundwater, domestic sewage, and industrial wastewater. Appendix A and Appendix B of this standard are informative annexes. This standard is issued for the first time.

 

4. Technical Specification for Continuous Monitoring of Non methane Total Hydrocarbons in Waste Gas from Fixed Pollution Sources (HJ 1286-2023)

This standard is formulated in order to implement the Environmental Protection Law of the China and the Law of the China on the Prevention and Control of Air Pollution, prevent and control ecological environmental pollution, improve the quality of ecological environment, and Gauge fixing the continuous monitoring of non methane total hydrocarbons in waste gas from fixed pollution sources. This standard specifies the requirements for the composition and function, technical performance, monitoring station building, installation, technical indicator debugging and testing, technical acceptance, daily operation and maintenance, quality assurance and control, as well as data review and processing of a continuous monitoring system for non methane total hydrocarbons and related exhaust gas parameters from fixed pollution sources. Appendix A of this standard is a normative appendix, and Appendix B to Appendix D are informative appendices. This standard is issued for the first time.

 

5. Determination of the Blackness of Exhaust Gas from Fixed Pollution Sources by the Ringman Telescope Method (HJ 1287-2023)

This standard is formulated to implement the Environmental Protection Law of the China and the Law of the China on the Prevention and Control of Air Pollution, prevent and control ecological environmental pollution, improve the quality of ecological environment, and standardize the measurement method of smoke blackness in exhaust gas from fixed pollution sources. This standard specifies the Ringman telescope method for determining the blackness of smoke in exhaust gases from fixed pollution sources. Appendix A of this standard is a normative appendix, while Appendix B is an informative appendix. This standard is issued for the first time.

 

6. Tank sampling/gas chromatography-mass spectrometry for the determination of 65 volatile organic compounds in ambient air (HJ 759-2023 replaces HJ 759-2015)

This standard is formulated to implement the Environmental Protection Law of the China and the Law of the China on the Prevention and Control of Air Pollution, prevent and control ecological environmental pollution, improve the quality of ecological environment, and standardize the determination methods of volatile organic compounds in ambient air and the air of unorganized emission monitoring points. This standard specifies the tank sampling/gas chromatography-mass spectrometry method for the determination of 65 volatile organic compounds in ambient air and unorganized emission monitoring points. Appendix A of this standard is a normative appendix, and Appendix B to Appendix H are informative appendices. This standard is a revision of the "Tank Sampling/Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry for the Determination of Volatile Organic Compounds in Environmental Air" (HJ 759-2015). The "Tank Sampling/Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry for the Determination of Volatile Organic Compounds in Environmental Air" (HJ 759-2015) was first published in 2015, drafted by the Jiangsu Provincial Environmental Monitoring Center. This is the first revision.
