CNCA Announces Mandatory Product Certification for Appliance Couplers

The Certification and Accreditation Administration of the People's Republic of China (CNCA) issued the list of standards for the compulsory product certification of household and similar appliance couplers.
Announcement of Certification and Accreditation Administration on Clarifying the Requirements of Standards for Compulsory Product Certification of Household and Similar Appliance Couplers
Two new national standards, GB/T 17465.1-2022 Couplers for Household and Similar Purposes - Part 1: General Requirements, GB/T 17465.6-2022 Couplers for Household and Similar Purposes - Part 3: Standard Sheets and Gauges, will be implemented on February 1, 2023 Two old national standards GB/T 17465.2-2009 Couplers for Household and Similar Appliances - Part 2: Interconnection Couplers for Household and Similar Equipment have been revised and integrated, involving mandatory product certification standards for household and similar appliance couplers. In order to ensure the effective implementation of the mandatory product certification system, the certification standards and other requirements are specified as follows.
1、 The list of standards for the certification of couplers for household and similar appliances in the Implementation Rules for Compulsory Product Certification - Circuit Switches and Electrical Devices for Protection or Connection (Electrical Accessories) (No.: CNCA-C02-01:2014) is revised (see the annex for details). The revision will not cause changes in the scope of the compulsory product certification catalog.
2、 All designated certification bodies shall implement the compulsory product certification of household and similar appliance couplers according to the new national standards in accordance with the requirements of the Announcement of the Certification and Accreditation Administration on the Relevant Requirements for the Revision of the Standards for the Certification of Compulsory Products (CNCA Announcement No. 4, 2012).
