GB/T 23307-2023 "Ground Sockets for Household and Similar Purposes" will be officially implemented on July 1, 2024, replacing GB/T 23307-2009 "Ground Sockets for Household and Similar Purposes".
GB/T 23307-2023 "Ground Sockets for Household and Similar Purposes" will be officially implemented on July 1, 2024, replacing GB/T 23307-2009 "Ground Sockets for Household and Similar Purposes".

The main technical changes of the new version are as follows:
Compared with GB/T 23307-2009, except for structural adjustments and editorial changes, the main technical changes in GB/T 23307-2023 are as follows:
- Revised the definition of ground sockets (see 3.1 in the 2009 version) and added a schematic diagram of ground sockets (see Figure 1);
- Changed the definition of functional modules (see 3.2 in the 2009 version);
- Added the definition of a pop-up ground socket self-locking mechanism (see 3.3);
- Removed the definitions of modular fixed ground sockets and modular movable ground sockets (see 3.3 and 3.4 of the 2009 version);
- Removed definitions for embedded ground sockets and overhead ground sockets (see 2009 versions 3.5 and 3.6)
- Removed the definitions of pop-up ground sockets, rotary ground sockets, and flip over ground sockets (see 3.7, 3.8, 3.9 of the 2009 version);
- The definitions of detachable ground sockets and non detachable ground sockets have been removed (see 3.10 and 3.11 of the 2009 version);
- Removed the classification of whether the cover can be detached (see 7.4 in the 2009 version);
- Added main technical parameters (see 4.2);
- Added classification of protection levels based on whether the product has the ability to prevent harmful water ingress when in use and the lid is closed, as well as classification of safety protection devices or equipment based on whether they carry current (voltage) (see 4.1.7, 4.1.8)
- Added the required documents for sockets, installation boxes and casings, protectors, TV modules, telephone modules, and USB power supplies (see 5.1.2);
- Added grounding requirements and inspection methods for ground socket covers (see 5.2.3, 6.3.1);
- Added requirements and inspection methods for protective devices or equipment reset buttons (see 5.2.4, 6.3.1);
- Added requirements and testing methods for the opening impact force of pop-up ground sockets (see 5.2.6, 6.3.3);
- Added requirements and test methods for the opening or closing deceleration mechanism of the ground socket cover (see 5.2.7, 6.3.4);
- Added requirements and testing methods for installing strong and weak currents together in ground sockets (see 5.2.8, 6.3.5);
- Removed the requirement for opening the cover of the detachable ground socket (see 2009 version 13.5)
- Added requirements and test methods for electric shock protection of ground socket casings (see 5.3 and 6.4);
- Revised the durability and testing requirements for the cover of the pop-up ground socket (see 5.4 and 6.5, Chapter 21 of the 2009 edition)
- The compression test requirements for ground sockets have been removed (see 24.1.1 and 24.1.2 in the 2009 version), and Figure 1 has been removed (see Figure 1 in the 2009 version);
- Revised the schematic diagram of the impact test in Figure 3 (see Figure 4, 2009 version of Figure 3);
- Added collision protection requirements and testing methods for ground socket modules (see 5.5.3, 6.6.3);
- Added requirements and testing methods for the pressure resistance of the ground socket function module (see 5.5.4, 6.6.4);
- Added strength requirements and testing methods for the installation ears of ground socket installation boxes (see 5.6 and 6.7);
- The protection requirements provided by the shell have been removed (see 16.2 in the 2009 version), and the protection level requirements and test methods for products with harmful water ingress protection in 4.1.7 have been added (see 5.7 and 6.8);
- Added requirements and test methods for surface wear resistance of ground sockets (see 5.10, 6.11);
- Added product appearance quality requirements and inspection methods (see 5.11, 6.12);
- Added general requirements for experimental conditions and accuracy of experimental instruments and meters (see 6.1.1 and 6.1.2);
- Added inspection rules for ground sockets (see Chapter 7);
- Added marking, packaging, transportation, and storage of ground sockets (see Chapter 8).
