Please Pay Attention When Exporting to Saudi Arabia! The RoHS Requirements have been Enforced for Everyone's Electric Products

Since October, SASO RoHS has also begun to enforce the regulation on household appliances. Before entering the Saudi Arabian market, related products must meet the requirements of their own technical regulations, as well as the limits of hazardous substances, and provide RoHS test reports to the certification authority.

Saudi Arabia issued the Technical Regulations on Restricting the Use of Hazardous Substances in Electronic and Electrical Products (SASO RoHS) in 2021. Following the small household appliances, the regulations have been enforced on household appliances since October. Before entering the Saudi Arabian market, related products should meet their own technical regulations, It must also meet the requirements for hazardous substance limits and provide RoHS test reports to the certification authority.

Household appliances: including all small/large household appliances defined by electronic and electrical equipment (EEE).
Remarks: Non household appliances with dangerous sources to the public (such as appliances for the public to use in shops, light industries and farms) should be included in this category; When the gas and electrical appliances have electrical connections for primary or secondary functions (such as clock, ignition, etc.), they should also be included.
