India BIS certification: Delay in implementing quality control orders for PVC and PP materials

The Indian Ministry of Chemicals and Chemicals has postponed the implementation date of the quality control order for PVC and PP materials. Two materials are widely used in different fields. QCOs that require mandatory execution must complete BIS certification. Violation of regulations will result in penalties, and companies should promptly pay attention to and complete certification.
近日，印度化学品和化工部（DCPC）发布公告，宣布推迟聚氯乙烯（PVC）均聚物和聚丙烯（PP）成型和挤出材料的质量控制令（QCO）的执行日期。
PVC 和 PP 是两种广泛使用的热塑性聚合物。
PVC 材料凭借其卓越的耐久性和多功能特性，在建筑、包装及电缆绝缘等领域得到广泛应用。
而 PP 材料则因出色的化学稳定性、轻便及高强度，用于汽车部件、食品容器、以及通过挤出工艺制成的薄膜和板材等。
两种聚合物产品的 QCO 实施日期及对应的印度标准如下：
对于需要强制执行的 QCOs，企业需要在出口至印度前完成 BIS 认证，确保每种化工产品都符合相应的印度标准，并标注获得印度标准局（Bureau of Indian Standards, BIS）许可的标准标注（Standard Mark）。值得注意的是，QCOs 不适用于仅用于出口的化工产品。
根据 2016 年的印度标准局法案（BIS Act），任何违反上述命令规定的行为都将受到处罚。
提醒有相关输印产品的企业务必关注 QCOs 的实施状态，及时完成 BIS 强制认证，以确保产品能顺利进入印度市场。
