Starting from April 1, 2025, the technical requirements for household electrical installations and similar electrical equipment in Vietnam will be officially implemented!

Vietnam has issued the Technical Requirements for Household Electrical Installations and Similar System Electrical Equipment, which will be officially implemented from April 1, 2025. Starting from April 1, 2027, all electrical equipment listed in the regulation must comply with the requirements of the regulation before it can be put on the market.

The Ministry of Science and Technology of Vietnam (MOST) issued Notice No. 01/2025/TT-BKHCN on February 14, 2025, promulgating the national technical regulation QCVN 25:2025/BKHCN - "Technical Requirements for Electrical Equipment of Household Electrical Installations and Similar Systems". This notice will be officially implemented from April 1, 2025.

Implementation Date

Mandatory implementation phase: Starting from April 1, 2027, all electrical equipment listed in Appendix A and Appendix B of QCVN 25:2025/BKHCN must comply with the requirements of this regulation before it can be put on the market.

Encourage early application: Starting from April 1, 2025, electrical equipment production and trade enterprises are encouraged to voluntarily implement QCVN 25:2025/BKHCN standards in advance.
