SNI authentication
Indonesia SNI certification, also known as Stand Nasional Indonesia certification, is a product certification system managed and operated by Badan Standadisasi Nasional (BSN), the National Standards Agency of Indonesia. SNI certification is generally valid for 4 years and requires annual review.
1. SNI Small Appliance Control List:
Kitchen appliances (17 items): rice cooker, electric kettle/electric kettle, microwave, electric oven, electric oven/toaster combination, electric iron, juicer, blender, food processor, electric kettle combination, rice cooker combination, electric stew pot, electric steamer, electric pancake maker, electric magnetic stove, electric pressure cooker, electric oven (small household)
Cleaning appliances (12 items): vacuum cleaner, floor scrubber, robotic vacuum cleaner, steam mop, electric vacuum cleaner, handheld wireless vacuum cleaner, commercial vacuum cleaner, mite remover, electric floor scrubber, garbage disposer, shoe washer, automatic cup washer
Household care appliances (10 items): hair dryer, curling iron, shaver, electric toothbrush, hair dryer (travel style), foot massager, eye massager, electric shaver (both dry and wet), electric nail clipper, electric hair removal device
Heating/cooling equipment (6 items): electric fan, heater (electric heating type), electric heater (oil tank type), small air conditioner (less than 1 horsepower), mobile air conditioner, dehumidifier
Other small appliances: electric water bags, electric blankets, electric mosquito swatters, air circulation fans, humidifiers, air purifiers, etc.
2. Authentication process:

The logo must be clearly visible, non erasable, and fixed on the product body and outer packaging.
K3L certification
K3L - Security, Safety, Health and Environment is an abbreviation for safety, health and environment, and is a mandatory certification registration that does not require factory audits. The normal validity period is 5 years. Single model, single certificate. Registered K3L products will receive a K3L number, which must be affixed to the product before sale. The purpose of K3L product registration is to ensure that the environment in which users use the product is safe. Although similar to SNI product certificates, K3L's program is simpler than SNI's.
Product importers and local Indonesian manufacturers need to check whether K3L certification is required based on the product customs code.
1. K3L Control List:
The Indonesian K3L certification mainly targets household appliances, electrical and electronic products, and textiles to ensure that these products do not pose a threat to consumers and the environment during use.
The controlled electronic appliances include: vacuum cleaners, toasters, rice cookers, electric kettles, hair dryers, microwaves, electric shavers, electric massage equipment, portable immersion heaters, pots and cookware, electric portable ovens, mixers, juicers, mixers, electronic food processors, water dispensers, dryers, curling irons, etc.
2. Authentication process:
Data declaration - Sample inspection - Test report - Submit K3L registration - MoT issues registration letter - Number usage
3. Label requirements (no logo requirement)
Location requirements - Product body, outer packaging, instruction manual or warranty card (at least one should be selected)
Must include K3L registration code, product name, model, manufacturer/importer name
Font size - minimum height 3mm, ensuring visible to the naked eye for consumers
Product after-sales certification MKG
Manual dan Kartu Garansi "or simply" MKG "is a product manual and warranty card sent to consumers after purchasing a product. Every manufacturer or importer must provide product manuals and warranty cards in Indonesian language for electronic and remote information processing products before selling them in the Indonesian market. The purpose of MKG registration is to ensure that consumers have the right to correctly, clearly, and honestly understand the conditions and guarantees of their purchase of goods.
1. Scope of certification:
MKG registration is applicable to electronic products and remote communication products. According to Document No. 26 of the Minister of Trade in 2021, a total of 74 types of products are required to register MKG.

2. Authentication process:

Energy saving certification SKEM
SKEM ("Stand Kinerja Energi Minimum" or "Minimum Energy Performance Standard") is a specification that includes minimum energy performance requirements under specific conditions, aimed at limiting the maximum energy consumption allowed by energy consuming equipment. Its main purpose is to inspect and limit the energy use value of products according to applicable standards in Indonesia.

2. Energy saving label
Energy saving labels need to be affixed to products and packaging in accordance with applicable regulations, and include information about the product and its energy efficiency rating. Within 5 days after the certificate is issued, the manufacturer or importer must report to the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources a certificate with an energy-saving label attached.

4. Precautions:
The energy saving certificate (SKEM) is valid for 4 years and can be extended once.
During the validity period of the Energy Efficiency Certificate (SKEM), if there are technical changes in the product that affect the energy performance values, the certificate will be declared invalid.
After issuing the energy-saving certificate, energy-saving labels must be affixed to the products and packaging, and the attached proof must be submitted to the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources within 5 days.
The addition of energy-saving labels is carried out in the country of origin of the product.
Every three months, manufacturers or importers must submit reports related to their products to the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources.
DJID certification
DJID， The Directorate General of Digital Infrastructure, formerly known as the Indonesian Postal and Information Resource Equipment Directorate General (SDPPI). On January 13, 2025, SDPPI was officially renamed as DJID. Starting from January 20, 2025, the logo (including the logo on the QR code) and certificate number format on the Indonesian type certification certificate were changed (certificate number changed to xxxxxx/DJID/2025).
The Indonesian DJID certification is a certification issued by the Indonesian Digital Infrastructure Authority, formerly known as the Indonesian Posterl/SDPPI certification. Wireless and telecommunications equipment exported to Indonesia must pass DJID certification in Indonesia before they can be sold and used in Indonesia. The purpose of certification is to ensure that telecommunications equipment can function properly when integrated into the Indonesian telecommunications network without interfering with telecommunications tools and equipment. This certification is issued by the Indonesian Digital Infrastructure Authority and is valid for three years.
1. Scope of certification:
The products that require certification include devices that support Bluetooth, WLAN, NFC/SRD, or cellular communication (such as GSM, WCDMA, LTE, 5G). Due to the inclusion of a Bluetooth module in TWS (True Wireless Stereo) devices, authentication is also required. The scope of coverage includes all devices that use the radio spectrum, such as smartphones, laptops, televisions, wireless speakers, Wi Fi routers, etc.
2. Requirements:
Bluetooth technology is commonly used in household appliances. Bluetooth transmission and reception operate in the frequency range of 2.4-2.4835 GHz, which belongs to the category of SRD (Short Range Devices) devices.
According to regulations, the routine testing content is as follows:
Radio Frequency/RF
Devices that emit radio frequency (such as LTE, GSM, CDMA, WLAN, Bluetooth, etc.) require RF testing.
Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC)
EMC refers to the ability of a system or device to operate normally in the electromagnetic environment without causing interference to other systems and devices. EMC testing is a mandatory test item that must be conducted on every device.
Electrical Safety Testing
Electrical safety testing is conducted to ensure the safety of telecommunications equipment.
