Original provisions
After the end of the transition period of Brexit, from January 1, 2021, the new product compliance logo UKCA will be officially launched in Great Britain (including England, Wales and Scotland). The time limit will be extended on August 24, 2021, and the CE logo can be extended to December 31, 2022 in GB area of the UK. That is to say, on January 1, 2023, the goods put on the British British market cannot use the CE logo, but must use the UKCA logo.


Latest regulations
The British government continues to recognize the CE mark for two years, allowing enterprises to prepare for the UKCA mark before December 31, 2024. During the transition period, enterprises can continue to use the UKCA or CE mark.
In addition to deferral, the UK government allows:
Before December 31, 2027, products from EEA (European Economic Area) countries are allowed to affix UKCA mark and importer information on the attached documents or labels.
Before December 31, 2027, the CE certification that allows manufacturers to complete before December 31, 2024 can be used to apply for UKCA marking.
