AliExpress will strengthen its compliance control over EU products, and relevant sellers need to complete the CE compliance mark and product compliance declaration (DoC) as soon as possible.

Recently, market regulatory agencies from multiple EU countries have filed complaints with the AliExpress platform, stating that products in multiple categories do not comply with EU commodity regulations and directives. The main issue is that the physical products that should meet CE compliance requirements do not contain CE marking and do not have the EU declaration of conformity.
According to EU laws and regulations, AliExpress will strengthen its compliance control over EU products, and relevant sellers need to complete the CE compliance mark and product compliance declaration (DoC) as soon as possible. Rectify non compliant products to avoid delisting and affecting sales.
1、 Which products are required to comply with compliance requirements?
According to EU laws and regulations, the following categories of products are required to have a CE marking and an EU declaration of conformity in their physical form.

2、 What is CE certification qualification
CE certification (Conformit é Europ é enne) is a mandatory product safety certification mark in the European Union, representing that the product meets the requirements of relevant EU directives and coordinated standards, and can be freely circulated within the European Economic Area (EEA).

CE certification is applicable to EU member states and markets within the European Economic Area, covering product categories such as electronics and electrical, mechanical equipment, wireless communication, toys, lighting fixtures, household appliances, etc.
The CE certification process usually consists of four steps:
Step 1: Determine the instructions and standards corresponding to the product. Different products correspond to different EU directives (such as electronic appliances must comply with LVD+RED), and each directive also has specific technical standards (such as LED lamps must comply with EN 60598)
Step 2: Product testing and rectification. Test the product according to established standards, such as electrical safety testing, electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) testing, hazardous substance detection, etc. If the test fails, the institution will issue rectification suggestions until the product meets the standards.
Step 3: Write a Technical Document (TCF). Including product manuals, testing reports, design drawings, Declaration of Conformity (DoC), etc., they need to be written in accordance with the EU format for regulatory inspections.
Step 4: Issue a certificate and affix the CE mark. After low-risk products (such as ordinary household appliances) pass the testing, the enterprise can issue a "Declaration of Conformity (DoC)" on its own, which is considered to have completed the certification and directly affix the CE mark. High risk products (such as medical devices) need to be issued by the EU notified body before they can be affixed with the CE mark.
