The Saudi Agency for Standards, Metrology and Quality (SASO) has issued a notice that the original JEEM and IECEE registration systems in Saudi Arabia have officially migrated to the Maneh new platform.

At present, Maneh is the only recognized channel for qualified assessment applications in Saudi Arabia's market access. All qualified assessment applications must be submitted and processed through Maneh's new platform. The original JEEM and IECEE systems have stopped all new business and no longer accept new applications, enterprise registrations, and model additions. Only existing applications that have been submitted before migration and are not yet completed can be processed.

Introduction to Maneh Platform

Maneh platform is a unified digital platform developed by the Saudi Standards, Metrology and Quality Organization (SASO). The Maneh SASO platform centrally manages all compliance certificates and regulatory approvals required for products entering or circulating within Saudi Arabia.

In the past, companies had to obtain certification through multiple systems and institutions. With the Maneh platform, enterprises can centrally manage multiple authentication applications without having to deal with multiple portals. They can also monitor application progress, receive updates, and quickly respond to any needs, saving time and effort. The Maneh platform integrates functions such as automated auditing, real-time progress tracking, and centralized document management. Authorized qualification assessment agencies (CBs) can directly log in to operate, audit, and approve, making the process more efficient, reducing administrative burden, and ensuring that products meet safety and quality standards before entering the Saudi market.

Precautions

The valid certificate that has been issued continues to maintain its original validity and does not need to be reissued. All applications currently under review will continue to be processed through the old platform. The historical data in the old system must be exported and backed up during the transition period.

The newly submitted business application will be migrated to the new system for processing. The old account cannot log in on the new platform, and all enterprises and importers need to re register on the Maneh platform. The new platform has stricter verification for uploading file formats and field filling, resulting in an increase in the number of returns for modifications. The initial operation of the new platform is still unstable, and the audit efficiency is lower than that of the old system. According to SASO officials and the first batch of users' feedback, the early application cycle has generally been extended, and the time required for material correction and online confirmation has increased. As a result, the time from submitting the application to obtaining the final certificate has significantly increased compared to the past, and some importers have reported that the customs clearance documents were not obtained on time.

At present, Maneh is the only recognized qualified assessment application channel for market access in Saudi Arabia, and the original JEEM and IECEE systems no longer have business acceptance functions. The relevant parties need to re evaluate the time budget for certificate processing to avoid delays in approval affecting the customs clearance arrangements after the goods arrive at the port. SASO stated that it will continue to optimize platform performance and regularly release operational updates.
