85 new national food safety standards released

The National Health Commission issued a notice (No. 6 of 2023) on 85 national food safety standards, including the "National Food Safety Standard for Tea" (GB 31608-2023) and 3 modification orders.

On September 25th, the National Health Commission issued a notice (No. 6 of 2023) on 85 national food safety standards, including the "National Food Safety Standard for Tea" (GB 31608-2023) and 3 modification orders.

 

Mainly including: 3 food product standards such as the National Food Safety Standard Tea, 5 production and operation standards such as the National Food Safety Standard Good Manufacturing Practice for Infant Formula Food, 6 food related product standards such as the National Food Safety Standard Plastic Materials and Products in Contact with Food, 46 physical and chemical inspection method standards such as the National Food Safety Standard Chemical Analysis Method Verification General Rule, and 1 modification list Three microbiological inspection method standards, including the "General Principles for Verification of Microbial Inspection Methods in National Food Safety Standards", six parasitic inspection method standards, including the "National Food Safety Standards for Inspection of Jaw Mouth Nematodes in Animal Aquatic Products and Their Products", and the "National Food Safety Standards for Food Additives β- 16 quality specification standards for food additives and food nutritional fortifiers, including carotene, and 2 modification lists.

 

The national food safety standard for food processing bacterial preparations and its production hygiene standards have been formulated for the first time, which helps to standardize and promote the healthy development of the industry. In order to adapt to the emerging product types in the industry, the National Food Safety Standard Good Manufacturing Practice for Infant Formula Food has added content related to liquid infant formula food and refined special technical management requirements for the production process. Based on risk assessment and management needs, new standards for ink used in food contact materials and products have been formulated, and standards for plastic, metal, rubber, composite materials and products used in food contact have been revised. Management principles, migration requirements, and allowable basic raw materials have been further clarified to better maintain food safety and consumer health, and to solve practical industry problems.
