Requirements for market access and conformity assessment of household heating appliances in Japan
Japanese PSE system
PSE certification is a mandatory market access system for electrical supplies in Japan. According to the Japanese Electrical Supplies Safety Law, PSE controls the manufacturing and sales of electrical supplies.
Use of PSE logo
All products belonging to the "specific electrical appliances" catalogue must be certified by a third-party certification authority authorized by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry of Japan before entering the Japanese market and obtain the certification certificate, and the logo of the certification authority and the diamond shaped PSE logo must be affixed on the label. The certification mode is divided into type test (batch) and type test+factory review.
All products in the "Unspecified Electrical Supplies" catalogue meet the requirements of the electrical safety law through self inspection or entrusted by a third-party certification authority, keep the test results and certificates, and affix a round PSE mark on the label. The approval mode is type test.
