The standard for stainless steel materials and products used in food contact in Thailand is about to be enforced

The Thai standard TIS 3206-2567 (2024) for stainless steel materials and products used in food contact will come into effect 270 days after its publication in the government gazette.
The revised ministerial level regulation draft released by the Thai Ministry of Industry this time is about the mandatory implementation of TIS 3206-2567 (2024) for stainless steel materials and products used in contact with food. The draft regulation details 13 categories of stainless steel containers and utensils that must comply with this standard, including bowls, beverage containers, chopsticks, long handled spoons, forks, frying pans, food containers, plates, spoons, plates, pots, knives, and spoons.
According to the notification, the specific migration limit requirements for 7 metals are shown in the following table:
