South Korea relaxes the allowable voltage deviation range, and the standard voltage tolerance of 220V will be expanded to ± 22V

South Korea has released a revised draft of the "Implementation Rules for the Electrical Industry Act", proposing to adjust the allowable deviation range of 220V standard voltage from the current "± 13V" to "± 22V" to be consistent with South Korean national standards.
On May 7, 2025, the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Resources (MOTIE) of South Korea recently released a partially revised draft of the "Implementation Rules of the Electrical Industry Act", proposing to adjust the allowable deviation range of 220V standard voltage from the current "± 13V" to "± 22V" to be consistent with the national standard of South Korea.
