Iraq | All electrical products will implement the Iraq Quality Mark (IQM) starting from September 15, 2025

According to the latest directive from the Central Organization for Quality Control and Standardization (COSQC) of Iraq, all electrical products will implement the Iraqi Quality Mark (IQM) from September 15, 2025. Electrical products that do not meet the Quality Mark certification requirements will be refused entry by Iraqi customs.
According to the latest directive from the Central Organization for Quality Control and Standardization (COSQC) in Iraq, electrical products must now comply with the Iraqi Quality Mark certification requirements. Letter No. 11038, issued on August 17, 2025, further expanded the scope of controlled products (specific product types are shown below). We hereby grant a buffer period until September 15, 2025 (based on the date of arrival of the goods at the port in Iraq). Unverified products that arrive at the port before this date are temporarily exempt from providing Quality Mark certification and product identification for customs clearance. Starting from September 16, 2025, all electrical products that do not meet the Quality Mark certification requirements will be refused entry by Iraqi customs.
Iraq Conformity Certification Explanation: Iraq Conformity Certification is a mandatory certification process for exporting to the Iraqi market, aimed at ensuring that imported goods fully comply with Iraqi national standards and technical regulations. This certification involves a systematic evaluation of product quality, safety, and compliance. The implementation process includes three core steps: product inspection, laboratory testing, and document review.
The products covered by Iraq Quality Mark include but are not limited to: household water storage electric water heaters, household electric heaters, household refrigeration equipment (refrigerators, freezers), household air conditioners, electric ovens, electric cigarettes, evaporative air coolers, electric pumps, electric fans, electric irons, battery chargers, electric kettles, vacuum cleaners, dishwashers, insect killers, portable heating tools, clothing dryers, electric shavers, electric grills, electric frying pans, kitchen machinery, microwave ovens, electric clocks, sewing machines, water dispensers, radios, televisions, recorders, etc CD player, receiver, washing machine, spray fan, information technology equipment, switch, plug and socket, extension cable, circuit breaker, power protector, battery, fluorescent lamp, tungsten filament lamp, energy-saving lamp, LED lamp, various cables, lamps, ballast, heating element, temperature regulator, photovoltaic system, etc.
