The "Catalogue of Products Implementing Energy Efficiency Labeling in the People's Republic of China (2025 Edition)" and related implementation rules have been issued, covering 38 categories of products in multiple fields such as household appliances and industrial equipment.

On September 26, 2025, the National Development and Reform Commission and the State Administration for Market Regulation issued the "Catalogue of Products Implementing Energy Efficiency Labeling in the People's Republic of China (2025 Edition)" and related implementation rules.

The new catalog covers multiple fields such as household appliances and industrial equipment, including traditional products such as household refrigerators, electric washing machines, and modular air conditioners, as well as emerging products such as household and similar kitchen appliances, permanent magnet synchronous motors, and air purifiers. Notice on the Catalogue of Products Implementing Energy Efficiency Labeling in the People's Republic of China (2025 Edition) and Related Implementation Rules

According to the "Management Measures for Energy Efficiency Labeling" (Order No. 35 of 2016 of the National Development and Reform Commission and the former General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine), the National Development and Reform Commission and the State Administration for Market Regulation have organized the revision of the implementation rules for energy efficiency labeling of relevant products, and have sorted out the product catalog for implementing energy efficiency labeling, forming the "Product Catalog for Implementing Energy Efficiency Labeling in the People's Republic of China (2025 Edition)" and related implementation rules. They are now issued to you for careful implementation.

The Implementation Rules for Energy Efficiency Labeling of Household and Similar Kitchen Appliances shall come into effect on November 1, 2025, with a validity period of 5 years. Products manufactured or imported before November 1, 2025 may be delayed until November 1, 2027, when energy efficiency labeling will be added according to the implementation rules.

The Implementation Rules for Energy Efficiency Labeling of Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motors and Air Purifiers will be implemented from January 1, 2026, with a validity period of 5 years. Products manufactured or imported before January 1, 2026 may be delayed until January 1, 2028, when energy efficiency labeling will be added according to the implementation rules.

The Implementation Rules for Energy Efficiency Labeling of Microcontrollers will be implemented from February 1, 2026, with a validity period of 5 years. Products manufactured or imported before February 1, 2026 may be delayed until February 1, 2028, when energy efficiency labeling will be added according to the implementation rules.

The Implementation Rules for Energy Efficiency Labeling of Gas Stoves will be implemented from March 1, 2026, with a validity period of 5 years. Products manufactured or imported before March 1, 2026 may be delayed until March 1, 2028, when energy efficiency labeling will be added according to the implementation rules.

The Implementation Rules for Energy Efficiency Labeling of High Voltage Three Phase Cage Asynchronous Motors and Commercial Refrigeration Appliances will be implemented from April 1, 2026, with a validity period of 5 years. Products manufactured or imported before April 1, 2026 may be delayed until April 1, 2028, when energy efficiency labeling will be added according to the implementation rules.
