Involving 37 types of products, the latest version of the 2026 China Energy Efficiency Labeling Product Catalog has been released!

The product catalog for implementing energy efficiency labeling in the People's Republic of China in 2026 has been officially released. The new catalog revises the implementation rules for energy efficiency labeling for 7 categories of products and sorts out the product catalogs for 37 categories of products currently subject to energy efficiency labeling management.

On April 30, 2026, the National Development and Reform Commission and the State Administration for Market Regulation issued a notice on the issuance of the "Catalogue of Products Implementing Energy Efficiency Labeling in the People's Republic of China (2026 Edition)" and related implementation rules.

The new catalog revises the implementation rules for energy efficiency labeling of 7 categories of products, including LED lamps for road and tunnel lighting, household refrigerators, projectors, household solar water heating systems, household and similar range hoods and ventilators, household electric washing machines and washing and drying all-in-one machines, and indoor lighting LED products. It also sorts out the product catalogs of 37 categories of products currently subject to energy efficiency labeling management. Notice of the State Development and Reform Commission and the State Administration for Market Regulation on Issuing the Catalogue of Products Implementing Energy Efficiency Labeling in the People's Republic of China (2026 Edition) and Related Implementation Rules

According to the "Management Measures for Energy Efficiency Labeling" (Order No. 35 of 2016 of the National Development and Reform Commission and the former General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine), the National Development and Reform Commission and the State Administration for Market Regulation have revised the implementation rules for energy efficiency labeling of relevant products, and sorted out the product catalog for implementing energy efficiency labeling, forming the "Product Catalog for Implementing Energy Efficiency Labeling in the People's Republic of China (2026 Edition)" and related implementation rules. They are now issued to you for careful implementation.

The Implementation Rules for Energy Efficiency Labeling of LED Lamps for Road and Tunnel Lighting and the Implementation Rules for Energy Efficiency Labeling of Household Refrigerators will be implemented from June 1, 2026, with a validity period of 5 years. Products manufactured or imported before June 1, 2026 may be delayed until June 1, 2028, when energy efficiency labeling will be added according to the implementation rules.

The Implementation Rules for Energy Efficiency Labeling of Projectors will be implemented from July 1, 2026, with a validity period of 5 years. Products manufactured or imported before July 1, 2026 may be delayed until July 1, 2028, when energy efficiency labeling will be added according to the implementation rules.

The Implementation Rules for Energy Efficiency Labeling of Household Solar Water Heating Systems will be implemented from August 1, 2026, with a validity period of 5 years. Products manufactured or imported before August 1, 2026 may be delayed until August 1, 2028, when energy efficiency labeling will be added according to the implementation rules.

The Implementation Rules for Energy Efficiency Labeling of Range Hood and Ventilator for Household and Similar Use shall come into effect on November 1, 2026, with a validity period of 5 years. Products manufactured or imported before November 1, 2026 may be delayed until November 1, 2028, when energy efficiency labeling will be added according to the implementation rules.

The Implementation Rules for Energy Efficiency Labeling of Electric Washing Machines and Integrated Washing and Drying Machines will be implemented from April 1, 2027, with a validity period of 5 years. Products manufactured or imported before April 1, 2027 may be delayed until April 1, 2029, when energy efficiency labeling will be added according to the implementation rules.

The Implementation Rules for Energy Efficiency Labeling of LED Products for Indoor Lighting will be implemented from September 1, 2027, with a validity period of 5 years. Products manufactured or imported before September 1, 2027 may be delayed until September 1, 2029, when energy efficiency labeling will be added according to the implementation rules.

In Announcement No. 14 of 2016, issued by the National Development and Reform Commission, the former General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine, and the former State Administration for Market Regulation, the "Implementation Rules for Energy Efficiency Labeling of Household Solar Water Heating Systems", "Implementation Rules for Energy Efficiency Labeling of Projectors", "Implementation Rules for Energy Efficiency Labeling of Range Hood", "Implementation Rules for Energy Efficiency Labeling of Household Refrigerators", "Implementation Rules for Energy Efficiency Labeling of Electric Washing Machines", and the "Implementation Rules for Energy Efficiency Labeling of LED Luminaires for Road and Tunnel Lighting" and "Implementation Rules for LED Lighting for Indoor Lighting" are included in the "Notice on Issuing the Product Catalogue for Implementing Energy Efficiency Labeling in the People's Republic of China (15th Batch) and Related Implementation Rules" (NDRC Huanzi Gui [2020] No. 640) The Implementation Rules for Energy Efficiency Labeling of Products (Revised) and the Notice on Issuing the Catalogue of Products Implementing Energy Efficiency Labeling in the People's Republic of China (17th Batch) and Related Implementation Rules (NDRC Huanzi Gui [2025] No. 45), as well as the Implementation Rules for Energy Efficiency Labeling of Household and Similar Exchange Ventilators (Revised), are simultaneously abolished.
