Starting from August 1, 2026, the new version of the national standard GB/T 4706 series standards based on the mandatory product certification (CCC certification) for household appliances will be officially implemented.
The new version of the national standard GB/T 4706 series, which serves as the basis for compulsory product certification (CCC certification) of household appliances, will officially take effect from August 1, 2026.

GB/T 4706 Series Standards
The new version of the standard has been transitioned from the mandatory national standard GB 4706 series to a recommended national standard, serving as a supporting standard for the mandatory national standard GB 44246-2024 on household appliance safety.
The GB/T 4706 series of 98 standards includes GB/T 4706.1—2024 "Safety of Household and Similar Electrical Appliances—Part 1: General Requirements" and its accompanying series of national standards specifying special requirements for related products. The new standards will officially come into effect on August 1, 2026.
CCC certification for household appliances
Standard Edition Change Requirements
After the implementation of the new standard on August 1, 2026, new applications can only choose certification according to the new standard.
Enterprises with old certificates must complete the transition to the new version before the first annual surveillance (differences confirmation required).
The transition deadline is August 1, 2027, and certificates not updated by then will be suspended. Certificates not updated by November 1, 2027, will be revoked.
Starting from August 1, 2026, enterprises are prohibited from producing products according to the old standard and must organize production according to the new standard. Products manufactured under the old standard before this date must clear inventory by August 1, 2027. After August 1, 2027, products based on the old standard may no longer be sold.

Standard Revision Compliance Recommendations
On August 1, 2026, the new version of the national standard GB/T 4706.1-2024 "Safety of household and similar electrical appliances - Part 1: General requirements" and the related product special requirements series national standards, which are the basis for mandatory product certification of household and similar use equipment, will be uniformly implemented. Newly applied enterprises need to implement CCC certification according to the new version of standards.
