Main technical changes of indoor heaters in GB/T 4706.23
01. The new version of standard GB/T 4706.23-2024 adds the scope of application of the standard: "Ceiling mounted lamp heating appliances" and "vehicle heaters" are included in the scope of application of the standard.
02. Chapter 7 of the new standard GB/T 4706.23-2024 adds different gear identification methods for indoor heater switches and control devices:
The different positions of switches and control devices on indoor heaters should be represented by numbers, letters, or other visual means. This requirement also applies to switches that are part of the controller.
When the heater is in its expected use state, the opening position of the switch and control device should be clearly visible to the user.
03. The new version of standard GB/T 4706.23-2024 has added temperature rise limit requirements for ventilation openings and air flaps, refined the classification of Table 101 and added temperature rise limits, and added temperature rise requirements for three types of heaters.
04. New tests have been added for abnormal operation of ceiling mounted lamp heating appliances, vehicle heaters, and fan room heaters. Please refer to Chapter (Section) 19.115, 19.116, and 19.117 for details.
05. The main non compliant high-frequency points of indoor heaters are exceeding the temperature rise limit in Chapter 11 and failing the 15 ° tilt test in Chapter 20.1.
Suggestions for rectification of unqualified temperature rise: optimize the heat dissipation structure, adjust the operating temperature or installation position of the thermostat;
15 ° dumping unqualified rectification suggestion: lower the center of gravity of the product and increase the bottom contact area.
