Starting from August 1, 2026, the GB/T 4706 series of 3C safety standards for household appliances will be mandatory. This article mainly focuses on the special requirements of GB/T 4706.30-2024 kitchen machinery, combined with the general requirements of GB/T 4706.1-2024, and specifically analyzes the case of kitchen machinery cover protection.

The 3C safety standards for household appliances are updated! Starting from August 1, 2026, the GB/T 4706 series standards will be mandatory. During the transition period, enterprises can independently choose to conduct product certification according to the new or old version standards.

The blender only uses a Hall sensor for lid protection (see Figure 1) and lacks software certification evaluation, failing to meet the requirements of clauses 19.11 and 19.13 in the updated standards GB/T 4706.1-2024 and GB/T 4706.30-2024.

Using a micro switch for lid protection, the micro switch is directly connected to the main motor circuit of the appliance for protection. This solution is the most reliable and cost-effective. (See Figure 2 for details.)
