From January 1, 2026, the number of hazardous substances controlled under China's RoHS regulation will officially increase to 10! Four phthalate esters, namely DEHP, BBP, DBP, and DIBP, will be added, and the testing methods will be simultaneously updated to comply with the GB/T 39560 series of standards. This marks the full alignment of China's RoHS with the EU RoHS, laying a transitional foundation for the mandatory national standard GB 26572-2025, which will be officially implemented on August 1, 2027.

The "Application Specification for Mandatory Product Certification E-commerce Platform Network Verification Technology" (RB/T 236-2024) will be officially implemented on December 1, 2025. E-commerce platforms will conduct online verification of mandatory product certification (CCC) certificates and other qualification information for online products such as home appliances, toys, consumer electronics, and electrical switches. For unlicensed sales or expired certificates, e-commerce platforms will intercept and remove them, achieving efficient management of online products from the source.
