◉ Introduction of Adhesives
Adhesive: A class of natural or synthetic, organic or inorganic substances that can connect two or more parts or materials together through interfacial adhesion and cohesion, collectively referred to as adhesives , customarily referred to as glue. In short, an adhesive is a substance that binds the adherends together through adhesion. "Adhesive" is a general standard term that also includes some other glues, mastic, mucilage, plasters, etc.
Adhesive is also called adhesive, which is what we usually call glue. Adhesives contain a lot of harmful substances, such as volatile organic compounds, benzene, toluene, xylene, formaldehyde, free toluene diisocyanate, and volatile organic compounds, which may cause environmental pollution and damage human health.
◉ Adhesive Classification
According to the different dispersion medium and content in the adhesive products, the adhesives are divided into three categories: solvent-based adhesives, water-based adhesives, and bulk-based adhesives. Typically, water-based adhesives are low VOC adhesives.
Solvent-based adhesives: adhesives with volatile organic solvents as the main dispersion medium
Water-based adhesives: adhesives with water as the main dispersion medium
Bulk type adhesive: adhesive with dispersion medium content within 5% of the total
