◉ Introduction to BSCI
BSCI factory audit refers to BSCI (Business Social Compliance Initiative), that is, the social responsibility audit conducted by the business community to abide by the social responsibility organization of the global suppliers of BSCI organization members, mainly including: compliance with laws, freedom of association and collective bargaining rights, prohibition of discrimination, Compensation, working hours, workplace safety, prohibition of child labor, prohibition of forced labor, environment and safety. BSCI has attracted more than 1,300 members from 11 countries, most of them are retailers and buyers in Europe, they will actively promote their suppliers in countries around the world to accept BSCI audits to improve the human rights of their suppliers.
◉ Advantage
(1) Fulfill the customer's request.
(2) One certification can deal with different customers - reduce the number of different buyers to audit the factory at different times.
(3) Improve the image and status of the factory.
(4) Instruct and consult the management of retail companies and improve the management system.
(5) Improve relations with employees.
(6) Increase productivity and thus increase profits.
(7) Minimize potential business risks such as work-related injury or death, legal action or loss of orders.
(8) Provide financial support for suppliers to implement improved social standards, encourage government action, bilateral development assistance and the participation of international organizations to lay a solid foundation for long-term development.
◉ Require
1. Management Responsibilities:
(1) Notify managers and suppliers of the content of the BSCI Code of Conduct.
(2) Establish a responsibility mechanism within the company organization to deal with all issues related to the BSCI Code of Conduct.
(3) Appoint one or more managers responsible for implementing the BSCI Code of Conduct.
(4) Monitor the company's compliance with the BSCI Code of Conduct and implement necessary changes within the company's premises.
2. Employee awareness:
(1) To declare to employees that it supports the principles of the BSCI Code of Conduct, and to explain and teach the contents of the BSCI Code of Conduct to its employees and their subcontractors. Companies must fully translate the BSCI Code of Conduct into the appropriate local language and post it prominently in factories and other premises. Employees must be verbally introduced to the BSCI Code of Conduct and given relevant information in a language they can understand.
(2) Employees are regularly trained on workplace safety and the impact of their activities on humans and the environment.
3. Keep records:
(1) Keep the names, ages, working hours and wages of all employees and make these records readily available upon request by the BSCI auditor.

(3) Prepare the resources to take necessary corrective actions.
(4) Avoid taking dismissal or other disciplinary action against employees who make comments on the BSCI Code of Conduct.
5. Suppliers and subcontractors:
(1) The adoption of social responsibility standards and compliance with the BSCI Code of Conduct will be a condition of all contracts with suppliers.
(2) Suppliers are required to regularly report their progress in implementing the BSCI Code of Conduct.
(3) Monitoring:
(4) Provide BSCI members with information on their activities and production sites.
(5) To allow organisations representing BSCI members to audit their premises and their subcontractors at any time with or without prior notice.
(6) Consequences of non-compliance: If the supplier fails to meet the requirements of the BSCI Code of Conduct, and if the solution fails to be agreed and implemented within a sufficient time, BSCI members may choose to stop the current production, cancel the corresponding contract, temporarily cancel future contracts and/or terminate the business relationship with that supplier. If the results of the audit indicate that the supplier has not fully complied with the BSCI Code of Conduct, the supplier must immediately take the specified corrective actions. The supplier will agree with the auditor on a time frame for implementing corrective actions, but shall not exceed 12 months. If a supplier previously excluded for non-compliance later shows that it can fully comply with the BSCI Code of Conduct, the previous business relationship can in principle be reinstated.
