◉ Certification Introduction ISO17025 Introduction
ISO17025 is an international standard for laboratory accreditation services. The old version was released in May 2005. The full name is ISO/IEC17025:2005-5-15 "General Requirements for the Competence of Testing and Calibration Laboratories". The ISO17025 standard is a laboratory management standard formulated by the International Organization for Standardization ISO/CASCO (International Organization for Standardization/Conformity Assessment Committee). The international organization that manages laboratory accreditation is the International Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation (ILAC), which is attended by 44 laboratory accreditation bodies including the China National Laboratory Accreditation Committee (CNACL).
◉ Role and Meaning
A laboratory accredited to the ISO/IEC17025:2005 standard has many benefits:
(1) Show that the laboratory has the technical ability to carry out calibration/testing according to relevant international standards.
The basis of CNAS laboratory accreditation criteria is ISO/IEC17025, which is an international standard for laboratory quality and technical requirements. The laboratory's accreditation by CNAS indicates that it has established a quality management system in accordance with international standards. As long as the work is carried out strictly according to this system, the laboratory's technical capabilities will be guaranteed, and the laboratory will provide customers with A testing/calibration service can claim compliance with international standards.
(2) Enhance the competitiveness of laboratories in the calibration/testing market and win the trust of government departments and all sectors of society.
The product of the laboratory is the test report or calibration certificate. The quality of the test report or calibration certificate plays an important role in the reputation and survival of the laboratory, and determines the competitiveness of the laboratory. ISO/IEC17025 helps laboratories carry out quality planning, quality control, quality assurance and quality improvement through various quality management activities during the production and formation of "products" to ensure the quality of laboratory "products" and services . For laboratory customers, choosing a laboratory with recognized technical competence reduces the risk of delivering substandard "products".
The laboratory is an important technical support organization for government departments to supervise and manage various products, and provides a basis for the government to make relevant decisions and even decision-making. When government departments, customers and related parties choose laboratories, the ability and credit of laboratories are particularly important. Accreditation helps government departments, customers and interested parties build confidence in the laboratory.
National laboratory accreditation is consistent with the foreign laboratory accreditation system and is a voluntary accreditation activity. Through the national laboratory-accredited testing technical organization, it is proved that it conforms to the internationally accepted calibration and testing laboratory competence accreditation criteria.
It can effectively improve the management level of the laboratory, ensure that the testing data issued by the laboratory is fair and effective, and can fully demonstrate the testing ability and notarization of the laboratory to the society, increase the market share, and improve the customer satisfaction rate.
(3) Participate in bilateral and multilateral cooperation in international laboratory accreditation and gain wider recognition.
my country's accreditation bodies have signed the Mutual Recognition Agreement (MRA) with APLAC and ILAC. The signing of the agreement has established a "highway" for Chinese laboratories to participate in international activities. After the laboratory is accredited by CNAS, it can use this route to lead to other signatories of the agreement, so as to obtain wider recognition. This can not only increase the exchanges between Chinese laboratories and international counterparts, but also attract more laboratory customers by using the advantages of mutual recognition and synergy to reduce costs.
(4) Included in the "National Laboratory Accreditation List" to improve the visibility of the laboratory.
CNAS compiles and publishes the laboratory accreditation directory every year, which is a Chinese and English version, and is also provided to domestic laboratories, related institutions and foreign accreditation agencies. This will undoubtedly have a positive advertising effect for the laboratories listed on the list, thereby increasing the visibility of the accredited laboratories.
(5) The accreditation mark can be used within the scope of the accreditation project.
Accreditation logo refers to the graphic logo issued by CNAS to accredited laboratories and allowed to be used by accredited laboratories within the specified scope, indicating that the recipients are qualified for CNAS accreditation. In order to ensure the interests of CNAS and accredited laboratories, CNAS has formulated strict management requirements for accreditation marks in accordance with relevant international requirements, and prescribed corresponding measures for fraudulent use and abuse, including litigation when necessary. Through these means, the legitimate interests of CNAS and accredited laboratories can be protected, and at the same time, it is also beneficial to reduce and reduce the violation of the legitimate rights and interests of CNAS and accredited laboratories.
